Open the Setup guide
Until setup is finished, Setup is the first item in the top bar, with how many required steps are done, such as 2/6. Everyone who can see your settings starts on the guide when they sign in. The guide is also always under Settings (the gear at the top right) › Business › Setup guide.
Work through the steps
- Click Start on a step. Most steps open the settings they need right inside the guide. A few happen on their own page: click Add a customer, Add products or Take a booking, then come back to the guide when you’re done.
- Fill it in and click Save & continue (or Continue if you didn’t change anything). To come back to a step later, click Skip for now.
- Each step shows its status, such as Done or Needs attention, and until it’s done, whether it’s required and about how long it takes. Click Fix on a step that needs attention.
- Finish with Take your first booking: a real booking by your team, or an online request.
What the steps cover
You only see the steps for the services you offer.
- Get bookable: Your business (name, address, phone and email), Hours, Rooms and capacity and Prices for boarding and daycare, Grooming menu and groomers, and Customers and pets.
- Go live: Pet requirements (the vaccines you require), Online booking, and Payments and taxes.
- Extras: Retail products, if you sell them.
Tips
- Set your real opening hours and your drop-off and pick-up times in the Hours step. If you see Suggested from your website and Google there, check the suggestions and click Use these hours or Use these times. Nothing changes until you save.
- Check Settings › Business › Location details. Customers see its phone and email, and replies to your emails go to that address.

- When you’re ready, an admin can click Finish setup, even with steps left. Setup leaves the top bar, everyone starts on the Dashboard, and the guide stays in Settings, where Bring the guide back puts it back in the top bar.
- With more than one location, the guide covers the location you’re signed in to, and Finish setup ends it for the whole business.
