How the move works
- Talk to us. Book a free setup call from the Setup guide, or email support@allpaws.com. Tell us which system you use now and which services you run.
- Get your data out. Download or request an export from your current system. We’ll tell you exactly what we need. Coming from Kennel Link? You can skip this step.
- We import it. Our team runs the import into your location. We bring across your upcoming bookings and any stays in progress. Some systems can bring past bookings too; ask us.
- Check it and finish setup. Look over your customers, pets and prices, then set up what an import doesn’t bring across.
What each import brings across
- Gingr: taxes, customers, pets, vaccination records, notes, feeding and medications, room types and rates, add-ons, grooming services and groomers, boarding, daycare and grooming reservations, packages and credits, open balances and store credit, retail items, and your agreements as waiver forms with their signed records. We need a Gingr database export, and we’ll tell you how to get it during setup.
- PetExec: customers, pets and their notes, vets, feeding and medication schedules, vaccinations, grooming services and prices, add-ons, kennel types and rooms, boarding and daycare rates, upcoming boarding and grooming bookings, and scheduled daycare. We need PetExec’s CSV export files.
- Kennel Link: customers, pets with their photos, vaccination records and requirements, feeding and medication notes, taxes, rooms, add-on services, rates and reservations for every service (repeating daycare included), daycare cards with their remaining credits, grooming services, groomers and grooming profiles, retail products and opening balances. You don’t need to export or send us anything: our team brings your data across itself.
- MoeGo: customers, pets and customer notes from MoeGo’s client export, and from your boarding and daycare appointment reports, your bookings (past ones included) and their notes, with rooms and rates worked out from them. Grooming, vaccinations, agreements, care instructions, add-ons, packages, balances and taxes don’t come across.
- Anything else: our team helps you bring your customer and pet records across.
What to set up yourself
An import brings your records and some of your setup, such as rooms, rates and services, but not these. The Setup guide takes you through your hours, booking page and card payments; the rest are in Settings:
- your hours, closures and drop-off and pick-up times
- your online booking page
- card payments, if you’ll take cards through AllPaws
- the emails and texts customers get, under Customer emails and Texts
- your team: invite each person from Team & permissions. Groomers an import brings across need their real email added there before they can sign in.
- your forms. Agreements from Gingr arrive as live waiver forms, so check them under Forms & waivers. For other systems, Import your waiver turns a PDF or photo of your paper waiver into a draft form.
